Independent Foreclosure Review

Homeowners whose primary residence was part of a foreclosure action between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2010, and whose home loan was serviced by one of 14 participating servicers, may be eligible for an Independent Foreclosure Review. It provides homeowners with the opportunity to request an independent review of their foreclosure process. If the review finds financial injury has occurred, the homeowner may receive compensation or some other remedy.

This review is FREE OF CHARGE. Homeowners should beware of scams. Do not pay anyone for this independent review. Any individual or company requesting payment for this independent review is a scam

Client Security Fund for Scammed Homeowners

Were you scammed by a lawyer? If you lost money to a lawyer who promised to get you a loan modification or save your home from foreclosure, you may be able to get your money back. Every State Bar has a Client Security Fund (CSF). The CSF reimburses clients (up to varying amounts) for being victims of dishonest licensed/state bared attorneys. Find the Client Security Fund in your state.
